Onslow Community Outreach,  Inc. is here to provide services for people in our community who are homeless.  We do not deny anyone admittance for our employment based program on color, creed, race, religion, or gender.

We provide all basic and essential needs to ensure that each resident can face the day with hope, but they must be willing to work towards their own independence.

Shelter In-takes are done M-F 5p-8p and Sat & Sun from 4p-8p

  1. We cannot accept anyone who is/has:
  2. Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  3. A severe criminal history or violent offense(s)
  4. A registered sex offender,
  5. Been diagnosed with a severe mental health diagnosis and not under the supervision of a doctor
  6. Arriving past 8P.M. unless otherwise instructed by Executive or Shelter Directors.
  7. We also have to take into consideration any persons receiving SSI/SSID/Disability.  While we do not want to exclude this population from our help, they do not fit our Employment based program, therefore we can accommodate them until they receive their next check.
  8. Lastly we need to evaluate anyone with a serious medical condition.  We are not equipped or trained in the medical field therefore we cannot accept anyone who would need medical care or attention.  All of the above populations require more care and training than we are qualified for.
