Jessie Finds Nutrition and Friendship at
the Soup Kitchen 

Jessie is an artist and often spends her days painting or writing poetry.

Some days she gets so engrossed in her work, she forgets to eat or she simply does not want to fix food for one person and might not eat as healthy as she should.  Jessie is a diabetic and proper eating is important.  A friend told her about the Onslow Community Outreach Soup Kitchen.  She has been going to the Soup Kitchen for 4 years and since she started going there, she has stopped having diabetic incidents and has been enjoying healthy meals in the company of her friends at the Soup Kitchen.
