Onslow Community Outreach will celebrate thirty years of service on February 20th, 5:00 P.M. at Sturgeon City Environmental Education Center, Jacksonville.
The event is a reception, silent auction fundraiser, fellowship dinner, recognitions, and several major announcements about the future of the organization. Rev. Joel Churchwell, Senior Pastor, Sandy Run Missionary Baptist Church, will make remarks.
Our community of clients, supporters, and program partners are invited to attend. We’re especially hopeful the consortium of churches and people of faith who established the nonprofit will participate, said Theo McClammy, executive director. Their vision and determination has impacted the lives of thousands of Onslow families.
Founded on February 8, 1990, the Outreach began as the soup kitchen on the grounds of Infant of Prague Catholic Church. Over the years, a homeless shelter, and medical and dental clinics have been added. Currently, the Outreach serves over 9,000 clients, stated McClammy.
Tickets are $30 and table sponsorships are $330. The deadline to purchase is February 14th. Payments can be made at onslowco.org or by calling 910-455-5733.
