Shelter

The shelter strives to meet the basic and immediate needs of individuals in need of emergency shelter. Services include shelter, food, clothing, and counseling. Clients must commit to self-improvement activities.

The following is required of prospective residents

  • Remain drug/alcohol-free
  • Maintain or seek employment if capable
  • No violent criminal background
  • Not a registered sex offender

Soup Kitchen

Food insecurity is a reality for thousands of hard working Americans who cannot keep food on the table. Addressing hunger and malnutrition is one of the key investments we make in our community.

Our food bank & soup kitchen is a vital resource toward helping Onslow County become a healthy, food secure community.

Support includes:

  • Lunch Meals
  • Mobile Soup Kitchen
  • Monthly Food Bank
  • Support to Church Food Pantries

Food Bank

Onslow Community Outreach operates as a support structure for the local community. Our food bank program addresses food insecurity, ensuring residents of Onslow have consistent access to meals. Given the current economic environment, our role focuses on maintaining community sustenance. With contributions from donors, collaboration with local businesses, and the assistance of our volunteers, our food bank provides necessary resources. Our primary objective is to offer food assistance to those in need.

Dental Clinic

Free Dental Clinic

The Caring Community Dental Clinic in Jacksonville is part of the healthcare safety net in Onslow County. The clinic provides tooth extractions to low-income, uninsured persons, ages 18 and over.

  • Services are funded by private contributions and grants.
  • Clients are not required to pay but are encouraged to make a donation if possible.
  • Volunteer dentists and a small staff give patient-centered care that increases quality of life for individuals and improves population health among vulnerable populations.

The Dental Clinic operates out of the Morgan Building which was donated to the organization in November of 2016. The building was dedicated to Dr. Ken & Mary Morgan in May 2017. The first dental patient was helped in September 2017.

Free Medical Clinic

The Caring Community Clinic (CCC) in Jacksonville is part of the healthcare safety net in Onslow County. The clinic provides free primary medical care to low-income, uninsured and underinsured persons, age 19-64 years.

  • Services are funded by private contributions and grants.
  • Clients are not required to pay but are encouraged to make a donation if possible.
  • Volunteer doctors, nurses, and a small staff give patient-centered care that increases quality of life for individuals and improves population health among vulnerable populations.
